What we collect

When you enquire about a vehicle, request an offer, apply for finance pre-qualification or contact us, we collect the details you give us: typically your name, phone number, email address, and information about the vehicle you're buying or selling.

Why we collect it

Only to do what you asked us to do: answer your enquiry, value your vehicle, arrange a viewing, or submit your finance application to the banks. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Finance pre-qualifications are shared with the banks and finance houses needed to obtain your quotes — with your knowledge, as part of the process you started. Nothing else is shared with third parties unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to serve you, and financial transaction records for the periods South African law requires. If you'd like your details removed sooner, ask — see below.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (where the law doesn't require us to keep it). Contact our information officer at sales@marketmotors.co.za or 063 184 1797. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
